About Nicole

A teacher first, a tech person second.

Long before creating The Hart of Tech, my work began with listening deeply to people's stories. Earning a MFA in documentary filmmaking taught me how to observe with genuine curiosity and respect what matters most to someone.

I carried that human-centered foundation into education, completing advanced graduate studies in Educational Leadership, Instructional Technology, and Digital Literacy, and spending over a decade teaching media, digital literacy, and technology for Cambridge Public Schools and Harvard. Working with learners of all ages taught me the most important rule of teaching: you adapt to the person's individual pace, not to a rigid lesson plan.

After a few years of leading complex digital projects and data systems in the tech industry, I saw how fast-paced modern technology was isolating capable adults. Today, I combine an educator's patience with tech industry rigor to give clients true digital agency.

At Home on the Cape & in the City

As a seasonal winter keeper splitting time between Greater Boston and Cape Cod, my life naturally bridges both worlds. The Cape’s off-season has a quiet magic, but it can also feel remote, especially when the summer crowds leave, local resources thin out, and a glitchy device leaves you feeling cut off.

Having befriended so many wonderful retirees and long-time residents here, I care deeply about making sure this community isn't left behind. Whether we meet at your kitchen table, a senior center, a local library, or connect virtually across the country, you work directly with me every time. No jargon, no rushed shortcuts-- just patient, dependable guidance to help you navigate modern life on your own terms.
